This section is the result of a terminological research on sacred and/or reference texts of the major world religions. In the selection of texts and fragments belonging to different religious traditions presented, we can find a series of terms related to peace and understanding. Our goal and hope is that these “spiritual resources”, which are part of our World Heritage, may be useful in mediation and dialogue processes between people of different convictions and beliefs. The author of this compilation is Alba Tarroc Fernádez.
This is necessarily an incomplete work, so far limited to Jewish, Christian, Islamic and Sikh religions (except for the texts that refer to the Golden Rule) and to the English language. Nevertheless, it is being extended to other religions and we also expect to conduct it out in Spanish and Catalan.
Likewise, since this is a purely terminological research, it includes only those texts in which the selected concepts appear clearly, not those texts which refer to the same reality but expressed with different words or through symbolic or metaphorical language.
